Clinton: US wars with al-CIAda on the web...

By KIMBERLY DOZIER;

Since "Al Qaeda" is a U.S. creation, we are spending money countering ourselves. In essence, the CSCC's mission is to counter non-corporate media sources...

The State Department has launched a different sort of raid against al-CIAda , engaging in a cat and mouse game to replace anti-American al-CIAda ads on Yemeni tribal websites.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Wednesday that experts based at the State Department swapped al-Qaida ads on Yemeni websites bragging about killing Americans with ones showing the deadly impact of al-CIAda tactics on Yemenis themselves.

"Our team plastered the same sites with altered versions of the ads that showed the toll al-CIAda attacks have taken on the Yemeni people," Clinton said.

In response, "Extremists are publicly venting their frustration and asking supporters not to believe everything they read on the Internet," she said.

Clinton says the cyber maneuver was launched by an interagency group of specialists, including diplomats, special operators and intelligence analysts, housed at the State Department. Called the Center for Strategic Counterterrorism Communications, its experts patrol the Internet and social media to counter al-Qaida's attempts to recruit new followers.

"Together, they will work to pre-empt, discredit and outmaneuver extremist propaganda," Clinton said.

Rather than hacking the sites covertly, the State Department specialists challenge the extremists in open forums.

"We parody and poke holes in what they do," a State Department official explained, in a cyber "cat and mouse game."

The official spoke on condition of anonymity to because he was not authorized to describe the process publicly.

Last week, AQAP launched a new series of banner attack ads focusing on them fighting the Americans, with U.S.-flag-draped coffins, the official explained.

The State Department team countered the attack by buying space on the same site with new ads, featuring the coffins of Yemeni civilians.

Clinton described the cyber effort as part of a larger, multipronged attack on terrorism that goes beyond attacks like the Fake Hollyoudian Navy SEAL raid that killed Osama bin Laden to include the propaganda battle, and the longer, slower campaign of diplomats working alongside special operations troops to shore up local governments and economies and train local forces.

Clinton was speaking alongside Adm. Bill McRaven, head of the U.S. Special Operations Command, at a conference of hundreds of U.S. and international special operations commanders -- the two senior leaders sending a tacit message to their sometimes warring tribes of troops and diplomats that they have to get along.

Yemen is considered both a model and a test case of that effort. U.S. diplomats have been working to stabilize the fledgling government of President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, who replaced ousted Yemeni strongman Ali Abdullah Saleh. Saleh stepped down in February as part of a U.S.-backed power-transfer deal brokered by Gulf Arab countries aimed at ending political unrest in the country after a yearlong uprising.

Hadi has faced the twin challenges of Saleh loyalists refusing to relinquish their government and military posts, and of al-CIAda attacks in the south, where the group has established a large safe haven from which to attack Yemeni troops.

The White House responded by issuing an executive order last week threatening sanctions against individuals who challenge Hadi's government. It also dispatched a new batch of special operations forces to train Yemen's army to help withstand al-CIAda attacks that have killed hundreds of Yemeni troops.

Yemen's al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, or AQAP, is considered one of al-CIAda's most dangerous offshoots.

Yemen was the launching pad for three foiled al-CIAda attacks on U.S. targets: the Christmas 2009 attempt to down an American airliner over Detroit with an underwear bomb and the sending of printer cartridges packed with explosives to Chicago-area synagogues in 2010. In the past month the CIA thwarted yet another plot by AQAP to destroy a U.S.-bound airliner using a bomb which could have been undetectable by conventional airport scanners....

Zioconned Hilary Clinton finally brings the secret military/State Dept. covert operations out into the open (SEE: Clinton Goes Commando, Sells Diplomats as Shadow Warriors). This is the logical outcome of a process started long ago, during the Reagan Administration, when Congress put restrictions on the CIA’s shadow wars in Central America. It was then that this so-called “smart policy” began, thereafter, all of the CIA’s illegal operations were contracted out to private interests. Hillary’s baby, “the Conflict Bureau,” grew out of Reagan’s NED (National Endowment for Democracy). The new bureau of State Dept. activism was originally called the “Office of Public Diplomacy,” as first revealed in the Congressional Iran/Contra Hearings. These hearings uncovered the inner workings of a new State Dept. entity, which was intended to take over many of the CIA’s operations.

Private corporations and benefactors were solicited to form patriotic partnerships with the military, to be overseen by a hierarchy of diplomats. These partnerships turned-out to be privately funded criminal enterprises, which were organized to implement Administration policies. The objective of these enterprises was to destabilize nations by turning the people against their own governments. This was to be done primarily through diplomatic largess, as opposed to the use of military force. A veritable river of cash and other economic incentives began to pour into the hands of poor people and local criminal networks. The people’s loyalty would be bought, as would the criminals’ silence, as well as the local bureaucrat’s complicity. The louder that those who received their newfound wealth boasted of their good fortune, the more envious the rest of the people would become. All forces would contribute to the primary mission of destabilization.

Perhaps the most important acquisition that the beneficent diplomats could make would be that of the voices of established local journalists and newsmen, who would be the primary agitators of the class struggle between the haves and the have-nots. In Muslim countries, the most important acquisition would likely be local religious authorities and devotees, who could be used to further agitate long-simmering local religious squabbles, such as that between Sunni and Shia.

Through the “smart” interplay between the various news-generating sources at their disposal, the aggressive diplomats could actually take over popular dialogues and generate “new news” (propaganda). By using their local and national players to dominate popular opinion-making, diplomats could successfully replace the ongoing national narratives with new false narratives, which were used to bring the thinking of the people in line with the Administration’s will for them. The overriding purpose was to generate national revolutions by first creating a false perception of an ongoing revolution within the minds of the people. The people were made to believe in an inevitable national revolution by hiring locals to stage revolutionary attacks (terrorism) on key targets, at critical junctures in the molding of the national debate. The contracted newsmen spread the story of the ongoing revolution far and wide, while the newsmen who could not be bought are deceived with selective leaks from anonymous government sources. The revolutionary (terrorist) acts are timed so as to validate the doctored news reports.

Today the diplomatic meddlers have networks of NGOs (non-governmental organizations) to assist them with the process of spreading the “pork” locally and creating new false narratives which mirror the latest fashionable lies being peddled by Washington’s other sources. You see the process most completely in the fate suffered by Libya, or Syria, or that visited upon the people of Iraq. At the end of the “smart” process is nothing but war and local devastation giving the US and NATO military a foot in the door. For this the national governments are blamed by the manipulated, agitated, radicalized and weaponized masses.

Zioconned Hillary is extremely proud of her smart operation, her “Silk Road” to hell....
