Will the American people ever develop the courage and conviction of the Egyptians?

Friends don't let friends drive drunk and (nuclear armed) Israel is drunk on power...?

“When will the American people ever develop the recognition, courage and conviction of the Lebanese, Tunisians, and Egyptians?”

Could they ever find sufficient self-confidence to try to press for needed changes in the U.S.A.?

In the world of the CIA, the playbook never seems to change....It's ALL about OIL and Israel since IKE...

http://www.webofdebt.com/articles/egyptian_tinderbox.php

Jinsa, AIPAC, WINEP, NED, ADL, JDL, BB, and the low-lifes who tag along with them, will bring a calamity upon USA, if it doesn't change course soonest....

AIPAC is a convenient Cover for CIA to hide behind...Hence no need to do any significant disclosures to Congress or its Intelligence Committees about any significant covert activities or extra-judicial operations spanning decades. The only exceptions, which won't be repeated anytime soon, were BCCI or Iran-Contra, to name a few ...

AIPAC is a perfect "cover", it gives overwhelming control of Congress to CIA without having to move a finger...and to Hell with the Foreign Policies of Foggy Bottom or any Justice for Palestinians, Lebanese, or Freedom, the rule of law, good governance and Democracy in faraway places...
AIPAC & Co. are priceless to CIA, and the Middle East can go to Hell as far as they are concerned, and that has been proven to be the case since the 1960s!

AIPAC, JStreet, Jinsa, WINEP, their coteries etc. and all the NGOs, NED, Freedom House, USAID or the likes, work hand in hand with CIA and their Israeli counterparts everywhere... The world is changing fast. Will that change the equation described here above???

Culturally and historically, we are much different from the Egyptians in some regards. We don’t, for example, have a small, ethnically similar, fairly cohesive and tolerant society. Instead, we’re spread across a huge country, and we’ve, since the start of this country, been separated (in part even self-separated through a competitive model being drilled into us) into divisive uncoordinated groups (based on ethnic background, skin color, religion, socio-economic class, education level, political leanings, etc.).

At the same time, we’ve been bamboozled into believing all sorts of propaganda (i.e., concerning the myth of our exceptionalism, etc., etc.), along with being poorly educated as a whole (keeping us dumbed down and easily controlled) so as to be unable to think for ourselves without some commentator (manipulating talking head for the most part) explaining the meaning of everything in a simple and disjointed way so that the dots can’t be connected between various happenings and their underlying causes. So we simply “can’t see the forest for the trees.”

There are also all of the distracting toys, the common cultural themes and TV programs propping up the myths (i.e., that you, too, can be a U.S. President or a billionaire if only you work hard enough and climb up the ladder, you need and deserve this thing being sold via the relentless ads or else you won’t be happy or have a strong sense of self-worth, you must keep up with the Jones family, we as a nation need to kindly spread democracy throughout the world, etc.). These interpretations of reality are pounded into Americans day after day, week after week and year after year so as to create an artificial reality, a fantasy world, that overtakes the more accurate truths.

Then, too, there’s that whole business of rugged individualism rather than a strong sense of strong enduring ties to community so that only the nuclear family (which is mobile from place to place) is the intact unit in many locations, along with a deep sense of anomie and apathy further creating isolation and self-centeredness. (Remember Kitty? Murder of Kitty Genovese – )

Add a steady diet of capitalist values in the mix fostering ruthless competition since early school days (i.e., “gotta get the grade” and “gotta get ahead of the pack to be the winner”) and, despite some signs to the contrary, it doesn’t seem as if everyone will coordinate to rise up for a long time — a time when much is much worse across the board. Heck, even the far left can’t “get it together” to overcome differences to be a strong coordinated force for positive change.

So all considered, we can expect the economic and other disparities, and rifts in our society to get lots bigger in immediate times to come. Simultaneously, crumbs will periodically be thrown from the plates of the uber-elites so as to temporarily and minimally placate (provide false hope) in order for the whole mess to continue pretty much unchallenged.

By such means and given our background overall, the status-quo will remain un-disrupted for the most part with everyone increasingly desperate and fearful to not lose his piece of the proverbial pie. Therefore, most Americans, it seems to me, will mostly readily conform to the predominant social order (while grumbling behind the scenes) in order to get his piece while ignoring his fellows in homeless shelters, tent cities, etc, just as they, while yelling empty slogans like “support our troops, basically ignore the plights of the Middle Easterners, who are under the lash of our foreign wars...

It is a pity, but quite obvious , that they can easily string the majority of USA's people along, putting-off popular reaction against their plans for USA, until they are ready to unsheathe the sword. We are the perfect collaborator type people, despite all the Hollywood image-making to the contrary. We are a sell-out culture that they can count on, successfully baiting us with cash until it is too late for people power to work its magic....

A precedent has been set, and it's not a good one...The United States has decided that it values "Stability" over "Democracy". That is the clear message that has now been sent to the Mid-East and the World...

The trouble is that this precedent is applicable world wide, conceivably even in the United States itself. How about a million man march on Washington by the poor and unemployed? Not allowed - it risks "stability".

This is not a matter of bleeding hearts keening for democracy. Once you have made human rights and democratic values contingent on the maintenance of "Stability" there is no going back.

Worse than George W Bush and his criminal gang of ZIOCON assassins...

"The men the American people admire most extravagantly are the greatest liars; the men they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth." -- H.L. Mencken
TO DIE FOR AN IDEA IS UNQUESTIONABLY NOBLE, BUT HOW MUCH MORE NOBLE IT WOULD BE IF MEN DIED FOR IDEAS THAT WERE TRUE....H. L. MENCKEN

A man who does not know the truth is just an idiot but a man who knows the truth and calls it a lie is a crook! --Bertolt Brecht

By way of influence, the power behind the power in America, lobbies and campaign contributions, et al, the U.S. elite utterly controls the apparatus of government, with worldwide ramifications.... Naturally, this 'ruling elite' favors economic policies which enrich them to the detriment and/or impoverishment of everyone else... This is the reductio ad absurdum of the Scrooge (Herbert Spencer) position which maintains, wrongly and fallaciously, that the rich are rich because they are smarter and better....They often resort to economic hit-men or wars to get their way, if all else fails....

I am of the opinion that at present, when the U.S. empire is illegally embroiled and mired, when the military of the United States has proven its corruption to the entire world, when the armed forces of the U.S. have been videotaped in acts of atrocity and otherwise exposed to have committed numerous war crimes to include tortures resulting in death, mass murders of civilians (captured on video tape), when the criminal nature of numerous U.S. occupations, aggressions, extra-judicial assassinations in the Levant, through the infamous White House Murder INC, and Asef Shawkat..., incursions most of which violate every international treaty to which the U.S. is signatory it is unconscionable not to yell 'fire in a crowded theater!!

Al-Qaeda, Aka Al-CIAda.... was a U.S.A./Israeli creation, specifically a product of inverted right wing pseudo logic. If 'Al-Qaeda' did not exist, never mind --the shills would invent it and cite it to justify wars abroad, crackdowns on freedom at home! They would bestow upon it a virtual existence via press releases, propaganda and outright lies --deliberate attempts to mislead the American people!

The "basis" for the specific principles of International Law to which the U.S. is "obliged", indeed, even insisted upon are as follows:

An excerpt:

(a) Offense.— Whoever, whether inside or outside the United States, commits a war crime, in any of the circumstances described in subsection (b), shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for life or any term of years, or both, and if death results to the victim, shall also be subject to the penalty of death.
I also recommend ‘Preventive War’ and International Law After Iraq. An excerpt from the introduction and executive summary:
However if change is to be effected, it must be carried out in way(s) that promotes international peace and security through multilateral action and the rule of law. This may be time consuming and frustrating, but the alternative danger is a weakening or even abandonment of the rule of law and undermining the prohibition on the use of force which has been the product of not only the international consensus to avoid war following two world wars but decades of consensus. --‘Preventive War’ and International Law After Iraq, Duncan E. J. Currie LL.B. (Hons.) LL.M., 22 May, 2003
To conclude that because one has power its exercise is always right is, simply, wrong! It's a non sequitur! On trial for his Nazi crimes at Nuremberg, Goering called it "victor's justice"!
What remains then is the truth: Bush and some members of his administration conspired with agents of the CIA, DIA, OSP, COG and MOSSAD/Aman to commit the crimes of mass murder and high treason against the people of the United States, the good citizens of New York and the World. Let the trials begin....

Military adventurism and US/Israeli Bravado of the cowards....

This is clearly a case when politics is governing intelligence and letting what it wants to cloud its eyesight to what is.... Churchill warned against this oxymoron....

US defense spending could be a tenth of what it is now, and what remains would be more than capable of DEFENDING the United States of America from any enemy.

But US defense spending is what it is so that America can have force projection i.e. the ability to impose itself ON other countries, and not just the ability to protect itself FROM other countries....

The USA voting Sheeple has to decide if it really does want to be in that business, but as far as I can tell that topic is so verboten that the American public doesn't even give it a second thought.

How odd..... does Joe America even understand that he belongs to an Empire that is every bit as militaristic as the Ancient Romans?

Aside from making us the most feared and despised nation of utter war criminals and assassins on planet Earth... (right after Israel, our fifty-first state), what, exactly, has your OCD hyperactivity brought us?

Realistically, a debt worth 15 and change trillion-with-a-T dollars, and a planet-full of other problems – international and domestic – with an additional 72 Trillion USD in US GOVERNMENT obligations in 51 US States... with no rational (i.e.: non-firepower) means to address them... You name it: infrastructure, transportation, public health, finance, education, legal (not justice) and prison systems that are the envy, maybe, of Burkina Faso; and a food industry transformed into a delivery system for cheap, leisurely lethal poisons. A decrepit and complicit in utter corruption MSM creeps... And that’s just at home. The rest of the world is a worse mess. Not your problem, except at gunpoint...

But relax; we can garrison the entire world as long as nobody starts shooting at us in earnest, at home or abroad. And once they start, for whatever reason, I’m sure the Pentagon has a thirty-million-combatant Plan for that, which the lot of you inside the Beltway would fall over yourselves to endorse...

For a man equipped with a hammer and nothing but, the world turns into his thumb. Figure it out....
